August 15, 2000 Manager The Stock Exchange of Thailand Dear sir: According to the performance of Noble Development Public Company Limited and its subsidiaries for the six months period ended June 30, 2000 reported net profit 42.45 MB, increased more than 20% from the same period of the previous year which reported net loss 134.41 MB. The company would like to clarify that the increase of the net profit compared to the previous year mainly due to - In 2000, interest expenses were obviously decreased of 107.82 MB or 80% compared to the same period of the previous year. The decrease of the interest expenses due to the success of the companys debt restructuring in 1999. - The company recorded gain on disposition of investment in Bannsiam Co.,Ltd., one of the companys subsidiaries, totaling 65.89 MB.
